Citizen is urging its customers to go higher, deeper and further this year, with a new Promaster sports watch keeping time in the most extreme conditions.
Since its original launch in 1989, Promaster has been used by professionals who challenge their limits.
For 2017, the watch has been re-issued in three different variants specifically designed and engineered for climbing, diving, and aviation enthusiasts.
For climbers or other adventurers, the £449 Promaster Altichron has an altimeter that can measure from 300 metres below sea level up to 10,000 metres up a mountain. It is water resistant to 200 metres.
The model also has an electronic analogue compass with rotating inner dial ring and power reserve indicator.
It uses Citzien’s Eco-Drive solar charging technology so it never needs its battery replaced.
The Promaster Diver (299) is Citzen’s Eco-Drive ISO-compliant Dive watch.
Its stainless steel case with a screw-case back and crown make it water resistant to 200 metres, while its blue dial face and uni-directional bezel give it a modern stylish look.
For aviation enthusiasts, Citizen has extended its association with the RAF’s Red Arrows and introduced a limited edition Navihawk A.T that features radio-controlled atomic clock synchromisation. The £569 timepiece has a pilot’s rotating slide rule dial ring, perpetual calendar and a world-timer that can be set for up to 43 cities.
The feature-laden watch has a 1/100-second chronograph measuring up to 24 hours, two alarms, a 99 minute countdown timer, dual time, power reserve indicator, digital display light, anti-reflective crystal, and is water-resistant to 200 metres.
Like the Promasters, it uses Eco-Drive technology to keep the battery charged forever.
Only 5000 units will be sold.
